After the early exchanges in the game where little ground was gained by either side in which both kicked early for field position no one could have predicted what was to come.

Saddleworth struck first after a dummy from Thomas Whithead opened a gap in the Keighley defence drew the fullback and put Anthony Morrison in under the posts, Con James Greenwood. 6-0

From the restart Keighley knocked on and from the base of the scrum on the Keighley 10m Gareth Morgan drove over the line from Close range, Con James Greenwood 12-0

Saddleworth were now playing with confidence and took advantage of the shell shocked Keighley outfit with a swift passing interchange moving the ball wide for Whithead to storm in at the corner, con missed 16-0

The next Saddleworth score came from a Keighley scrum in there own half with saddleworth push the lighter Keighley pack off the ball then moving the ball wide then switching back to the middle for James Greenwood to score under the posts con Greenwood 22-0

Again from the resulting kick off Mitchell Birch beat the advancing defender and puts Nathan Jewett thru’ for a 40m dash to score under the posts. Con Greenwood 28-0

Keighley were now looking forward to the half time whistle and were keeping Saddleworth pinned in there own half but a drive from centre Matthew Fogerty handing off a number of defenders broke loose from justinside his own half and outpaced the fullback to score in the corner. Con missed 32-0. As the half time whistle loomed and with the final play of the half Steve Kiss kicked early the ball was kicked into touch the ref allows the scrum and Jacob Eastwood goes nin at the corner from the base of the scrum Con missed 36-0

From the kick off Jack Copperthwate fumbled the ball allowing James Greenwood to score from close range, con Greenwood 42-0

At this point many side could have crumbled but didn’t and although the lacked obvious size in the pack to there great credit Kighley began to win the forward war and a clever chip thru’ from Stand off Sean Kelley put Luke Whitley thru’ who scored in the corner, con missed 42-4

As the Keighley outfit were trying recover they gave away a series of piggy back penalties and a free flowing move across the pitch Jacob Eastwood went in at the corner. Con Greenwood 48-4

Again back came the gallant Keighley outfit when a brilliant interception from Jack Cawood ran 40m to score under the posts con Callum Hudson 48-10

By now with time running out Keighley were now tiring fast and saddlewoth added a further two try fro Fogerty and the try of the match from prop forward Gareth Morgan who ran a full 70m to score under the post cons Greenwood 60-10.
